And defense before half time and to end the game? Is 3rd and Chavis still in effect?

Improving. Haven't really noticed 3rd Chavis much this year. Probably been too worried about us converting on 3rd down to think about stopping it on defense.

Ole Miss was 5-17 on third down. Seems like Chavis played his normal, aggressive scheme at the end of the game, knowing Bo would frick up.

Defense has been great last two games. It won us Ole Miss game and we should of had 3 more easy picks. 3rd down defense has improved but chavis does do his predictable DB blitz on 3rd

The best in the conference with a 28.79% opponent 3rd down conversion rate.

Should be a key matchup then. Tennessee was the best in the conference at 28.03% until Alabama converted 11 of 15 against them.

I feel like Alabama has the number 1 3rd down offense, so that's just one more thing that makes this a really interesting game.

Lousy. You won't have any resistance. You may not even have a third down, that's how swiss cheese we are.
Stadium should be empty by halftime.

Many folks who do not follow the intricate details of LSU did not know that they made some key personnel changes in the middle of the field after the Auburn game. Miles went with promising youth in Kendall Beckwith and Jamal Adams. Beckwith responded last week with SEC Def POW. Together they have solidified a soft underbelly that was getting torched by runs up the middle.

Tennessee hadn't played Auburn and MSU already. The fact that our defense is still ranked so high after those abominations is pretty telling.
