Say you have no job and sleep to 12PM err day. Is this degenerate and a waste of what could have been a productive day?

I disagree depending on the situation if you're under 26 and saving up money it doesn't make any sense to waste money on renting

So instead let your parents waste the money? Somebody has to pay the bills, and 26 is way past the point of doing that yourself. I'll be damned if my child will be living at my house at 26, except in dire circumstances.

Not necessarily
For instance I'm 23, have a decent paying full time job and live with my mom. I pay her $100 "rent" a month and split all utilities. It's a better situation for me than living in a cheap apartment and she has someone around to help with "man" stuff around the house

Why would I be surprised? I think it's weird for grown men and women to live with their parents but I realize that not everyone is going to share my opinion.
