I mean, that's cool and all, but didn't we just spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars, in munitions to kill 2 or 3 guys? Seems like we should be going after higher value targets if you ask me.

Funker stated that it was an outpost on that hill. More there than can be seen.

Didn't look like a missile strike to me. You can actually see one of the weapons at roughly the :20 mark. Both the size and angle it's coming in match some type of air dropped gravity bomb. They may be guided (GPS or Laser), but they way they hit around the hill I'd bet they're just plain old dumb (unguided) bombs.

The last clue is that the dude near the flag starts hauling arse down the hill a few seconds before the weapons hit, like he saw the fighters and knew what was on the way.

Considering the cost of getting the planes there and the guidance package (if they were guided, both JDAM (GPS) and Paveway (Laser) kits come in at around $20,000.), it still not cheap but they're far less expensive than missiles and nowhere close to millions of dollars.

Of course, a .50 or 7.62 sniper round is significantly cheaper but that's not possible right now.

I see the guy running but just above him it kind of looks like a dude flying through the air.
