To me would be Auburn winning out and ms state winning out.. Auburn in as a 4 seed and Ms State as a 1.. Tough to beat a really good team twice, just ask LSU.. Plus a neutral site being Nola in which Auburn would likely carry more fans.. There would be. No cowbells or home field advantage for the dogs..

LSU Bama in 11 is different than Auburn State this year.
We beat Bama in overtime.
State curb stomped Auburn. If they meet again, State will beat them even worse the 2nd time around.

You're right.. There's absolutely no way MSU can win without cowbells being present. If it weren't for the cowbell, MSU might not have had the success it's had over the years.

Good points, but I have a strong feeling there will not be two SEC teams in the playoffs even if it's the right thing to do.

No such thing. MSU in in the playoff can not be bad

I would relish the opportunity. Don't know who would win but would love to get there.

MSU worse nightmare is going to be when they lose to Bama in T Town.

And also what State did to Auburn.
It took them going up 21-0 in the damn first quarter and letting off the gas to even give Auburn a glimmer of hope, just to destroy it twice in 1 game.

Yep, 9-6 is pretty similar to 38-23...

Did you watch the game? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we wouldn't turn it over on our first two plays again giving them perfect field position both times to go up 14-0

I wonder if they'd seed them 1 and 4.

Obviously, this would avoid an all-SEC championship game.

On the flip side, they're supposed to make the 3 and 4 seeds travel farther. If 3 was Ohio State or something, you'd figure they'd make them come to New Orleans and send Auburn to Pasadena.

I'm pretty sure state would be happy with whoever they play. Just for the fact that they're actually in the playoffs

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Dak wouldn't have his worst throwing game of the season and 2nd worst of his career if we saw you again either. Nevermind the possession you got inside the 20 and we made you quit on.

State left just as many points on the board in that game as you did.

Call me a homer if you want, but MSU didn't have a great offensive day against Auburn. Missing Dillon Day and Jameon Lewis, Dak made a few dumb uncharacteristic reads, and a fake punt turned interception. Auburn is lucky it was only 16 points..

Two things.

1. MSU has a very good team. Dak Prescott in particular is a great talent and has the "it" factor. That alone makes MSU dangerous in any venue.

2. Auburn played extremely tight in the game in starkville. Environment played into that along with some early mistakes that made that worse.

In a second meeting, especially in a neutral field environment, I think it will be a different game. MSU might still be better, but maybe not.

And we'd have whitehead and possibly Carl Lawson
