8 couples going to Kiawah Island for golf and maybe a little booze. We'll have TVs and DVRs set up for Saturday to catch as many games as possible and watch into the wee hours Sunday morning.

Thousands. I've been to the last 20. It's been a long, tough stretch. I used to stay at the Renaissance in St. Augustine. That's where the team stays. I joined The Jacksonville Bulldog Club so I could buy a parking pass. They have their annual meeting every Thursday before the game. I had run across some mushrooms one year and ate a handfull before we made the 40 minute drive to Jax for the meeting. Anyway, I remember that I was starting to lose my mind when I was trying to get parked. (The shrooms were hydroponic and lab quality.) So we go to the meeting and we're running a little late. There were hardly any seats available. I'm positive that everybody is looking at me. I can't stop smiling and would start laughing if I looked at anybody too long. So my girlfriend spots an empty table and we make a break for it. And now I'm sure everybody is looking at me.
Soooooo the President brings the meeting to order and we're sitting BEHIND the podium. About that time I feel a hand on my shoulder and I jump out of my skin. When I can focus I see Vince Dooley (guest speaker) and he asks if he can sit at my (his) table. He and his agent had piles of books he was selling. So I bought 5 and he personalized them and was very gracious to this idiot that can't quit smiling.
But the coolest thing he signed was a football. I met a team bus driver at the hotel bar later that night and gave him two tickets and he agreed to take that ball in the locker room to get signed by the team on Saturday. And he did. It sits on my desk as one of a thousand memories about this game. And I'm looking to make more next week! Can't fricking wait.
