they wont allow you to cancel online, you now have to call yahoo.

i've called 5 times, wait was 2 hours+, and i elected to hold on line, and they disconnected me every time.

Nice scam by the gang over there.

Put a stop payment on the account. They will kick you in no time.

Are you able to just remove your payment info all together? Or like others have said, put in a stop payment.

The only time I called to cancel they have me 6 free months but that was pre-Yahoo.

You have to call to cancel scout too. In 2014, you should be required to offer an option to cancel on the site. It's absolutely ridiculous that they do not.

I was able to get through about the third attempt. Refused the FREE 3 months offered by saying, "If you really wanted to hurt me, make it a year." She just laughed and cancelled it for me.

It's subscriber retention tactics, everyone does it these days. Cable companies, credit card companies, etc.

They force you to filter through their retention specialists before allowing you to leak out of the network.

Best thing you can do is, if you do subscribe to any premium subscription service of any kind, pay with a re-loadable card and choose the "do not renew automatically" option.
