My understanding is Muschamp is gone.

This is my first time on this board, so sorry if you've been over this. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I jokingly mentioned Pelini earlier, but I honestly have no clue.

They oughta go and get Petrino. The Gators would be very scary in a couple years. Very scary.

If they'd be willing to put up with his shite he would make them very scary good.

For one.. It won't be Mullen. Foley has too much pride to come crawling to Mullen after acting like he didn't exist in 2011.

Mullen would be a good hire, though.

Foley will undoubtedly make another shitty hire.

I can't stand him, but I would actually be worried.

I apologized in advance, I looked and didn't see a recent one.

Petting has a ridiculous buyout at Louisville. They basically allowed him to return under the condition that he would never burn them again.

What about Mark Dantonio? He seems like he could be an SEC coach.

Spurrier. Realizes he just can't get over the hump at USC so goes back and finishes his career at Florida

I agree on Petrino. I always thought his offensive philosophy at Florida could resemble what Spurrier did in the 90's. Could be a risky hire though.

He'd be 59 before he coached a game and he's already had a heart attack on the field.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went after someone from the Urban Meyer coaching tree.

I have no idea what my fellow fans think about this but -- it would be a perfect hire. Fill the seats for one, he's a true Gator, he is an offensive mind (which we desperately need) and of course, he seems to beat Georgia no matter where he goes.

He got them to the SECCG, and they were a strong second last year. That didn't really happen with Holtz, although obviously he took them pretty far himself.

Spurrier said once at Florida was enough. I'd be surprised if he changed his mind. If anything, I think this is a worse time than if he had taken the job after Zook.

Point taken. I had forgotten about that.

I don't think UF Goes defensive again, they have proven they can win with a great O and avg D , but not the other way around.

Chip Kelly would be perfect storm , however he is having more success in Philly than most believed he would.

I do think they go proven head coach , even if not already a P5 head coach. But probably Offensive guru type.
