When Gurley gets cleared to play again Right needs to keep starting Chubb. UGA has been heavy handed with him carrying the load. The coaching staff has stepped up and really brought good game plans and Chubb has been a complete beast.
Keep doing what you're doing Georgia and you'll breeze into Atlanta and give whoever survives the West a run for their money.

Thanks! we're very pleased with the way Chubb has turned out. we FELT, before the season, that he would be another Gurley type player....but you never know until they get on the field.
I imagine Gurley will step back into the starters role, but you make an excellent point. When Gurley went down, the coaching staff stepped up with good game plans. I think the team stepped up under adversity, too.

I agree. He might become as close to Gurley as you can be.

Both are damn good players, but sooner or later the credit will be given to who should get it. The Georgia OL.

People can downvote you all day, but I agree with you for a different reason...when agurley gets back Chubb should start...he's earned it. Gurley will still get his carries.

I agree Gurley is overrated and is not a team player. Chubb all the way

While the Ol should get a LOT of credit for being improved here is a stat mentioned yesterday.
Chubb has been hit behind the line on 4*% of his carries. Gurley on 27%. Chubb has had to work harder for his yards than Gurley. Quite impressive considering he is a true freshman and does not run around like his hair is on fire every time he picks up a five yard gain.

You have lost your mind. TG made a mistake. But where has he not been a team player?? And the way to know this is the way every time a player does something, they throw up a 3. He is without a doubt a team player and the Team wants him playing. Chubb is great and deserves his carries as well , and the adversity has allowed the others to step up and see what the can do.
Chubb does not have the top end speed of TG, but when all 4 are back ; the UGA backfield should be dynamic. Also it's exciting to finally see a backfield building with depth ( alla Bama)
But to say TG isn't a team player???

agree who is the first one to congratulate Chubb on a play... Gurley. He is as far from not being a team player as one can get..

I suspect he was being sarcastic.
Right?
Surely.
Yeah, he was being sarcastic.

Honestly, I think the reason Gurley doesn't get hit in the backfield/LOS more is because A) the handoffs happen much faster ( apparently, Mason is running more of a read option with Chubb) and b) Gurley is better at avoiding contact both by changing direction quickly and by seeing where the hole could be vs where it is supposed to be just based on the play. Chubb is a freshman so I don't expect him to have the vision of a Gurley, but that is the difference.
