Not impressed so far. Saban, Malzahn, and even Chizik had success within two years. And you can't say it is a talent issue, Shula created a vacuum in T-Town. Chizik was 3-9, and Malzahn played for a title with Jake Holland at MLB, and our best DB at QB the following year. Butch is not good at the football, IMO.

He can only sell the dream for so long. He's got to start winning games soon

He will never win big at Tennessee with this offensive staff in place.

Our defense is fricking stacked right now and I don't think its a coincidence that it's guys with SEC experience running it (Jancek, Martinez, Thigpen).

He's got to make some changes on the offensive side of the ball or his ship will sink with these Big East clowns.

He was gonna rely on recruiting to save his job and build the program. I think the Rebs might have dealt a deathblow to his program. We've been raiding Tennessee from Memphis to Nashville, and that's where 75% of the state's talent is. UT was a top program because they recruited regionally. Not sure where they'll be now that they aren't even locking Tennessee down.

Butch just signed 9 of the top 10 players in Tennessee last year and he's got the #3 recruiting class in the country right now.

Does he have a legitimate, SEC caliber QB on campus right now? If so, where's he been hiding him?

Like I said, being "young" is not an excuse. Saban was 7-5 his first year, and played for a SEC title the next. UT looks like a really bad coached team. And with the recent history of UT firing coaches, you might be stuck with Butch.

Oh, that's cute. You think the recruits are gonna stay? You don't go bowling? They gone.

Yeah. Don't get sassy because you made a stupid point. Ole Miss really has no bearing on the future of Tennessee football.

Zero rushing yards against Ole' Miss. How is that even possible? Just fall forward a few times and you get positive yards.

That is a major coaching issue.

Since Jones appears to be a good recruiter, maybe he will get a chance to replace his offensive staff and save his job. UT will have to offer up big $$$ to get a quality OC and positions staff to right the ship.
