Does Florida's failures make you a little nervous? I mean, if I was a MSU fan I would be rooting for Boom to keep his job.

And don't give me the knee jerk "Merlin would never leave our little cow patty" response. Everyone and their mother knows if UF really wanted to they could take the MSU coach ALWAYS. UF might not because their AD is a cheap son of a bitch, but eventually he needs to not cheap out on a head coach to keep his job.

So are you nervous? Or are you just enjoying the moment, like most stepping stone programs do when they find some success?

Not worried a single bit.

You're not even the 10th best program in Florida.

I'm really not. Look at it like this: If we landed Mullen on the backside of a Croom led program imagine who we could get now?

If Mullen left now it would be the easiest, deepest, turnkey team ever inherited in CFB.

You don't want knee jerk -- but that's exactly what you give with your failure to even attempt looking or researching the whole picture.

Serious question...if you can be ranked #1 in the country at MSU, why go to Florida? With the money that all of these schools will rake in off the SEC network, any school will be able to pay whatever to keep their coach. Right now, I don't see why Florida would be a better job. Mullen isn't going anywhere.

a little, but something tells me he might really want to stay at State. But, who knows. His egomania can get the best of him at times. Fake punt anyone?

To me, in the current age of technology, one can have their ego stroked no matter what town they are in. Look at how much attention was heaped upon him the last two game weeks. Keep winning and it wont stop.

Surely you're forgetting the Miami team Larry Coker inherited.

Jesus Hardy_Har, I wasn't expecting a real answer! Thank you for that,

Let be honest, this thread is about the fact that the grind destroyed my team.

For the record, I agree with you- Merlin made MSU a better job. That plus SEC Network money means y'all can poach almost anyone you want not in the SEC if Merlin does leave. I personally would love for yall to steal Wincy's coach or Arizona's coach. Really rub it in for the rest of the country how they are lower than all the SEC.

What division do you think would be easier to win the next several years? The East or the West.

Because Mississippi is a so-so state for talent that is poached by SEC programs on every side, while Florida is simply THE BEST state for talent in college football.

That would be my reason.

Plus, Mullen was loyal to Meyer moreso than Florida. It wouldn't be like the return of the prodigal son.. I ain't even worried

Bill Clark would be the next good hire.

That tends to be the case once you've passed the 5 year mark as head coach

Most coaches* aren't known for trying to find the easiest path.

* - Exceptions made for the "failing health" of Urban Meyer.

He's doing pretty damn well in the west right now, don't you think? I don't see that as an issue. Not one bit.
