Specifically in the East. Thompson was thought to be good, no great. At the very least decent. Mauk was pretty highly touted by Missouri fans and Mason seemed like he would come into his own as the season progressed.

Obviously Mason and Thompson weren't gonna replace their predecessors, but it's a shame just how bad these QBs are. Mason had a decent game against Missouri, so he could be better. And Thompson has that Garcia effect from game to game, where as Mauk has it from drive to drive.

And then there's Driskel

That's what happens when you have a mass exodus of GOATs leave their respective schools to go to the NFL and other endeavors.

I told everybody Mauk was turrible. Mizzou fans just wouldn't listen.

I'm just glad I wasn't a Thompson believer like so many USC fans were. He didn't look good at any point last season and hes look even worse this season. Wish we'd go ahead and put Connor Mitch in

I thought Thompson would be decent because of his 2012 games. And he has shown he can be decent against UGA. They don't have the greatest pass defense in the country, but if he can do it against them I don't see why he couldn't do it against Mizzou and Kentucky.

Don't forget he tried to give that game away too with the late interception. UGA just out herped our derp.

What I've been thinking about over the bye week is how some USC fans lamented Shaw not throwing the deep ball and they thought Thompson would be able to do it. Shaw consistently hit deep balls down the field last season, but besides the two against aTm I can't think of any deep balls we've hit. Sure Shaq Roland dropped one against Vandy, but Thompson has had several opportunities down field that hes just flat out missed.

Play Alabama and make your QB look good.

Still don't know who Derby is, but he can make plays against our D, ya.

Yeah. I've been itching to bump threads where several of us were predicting a Thompson implosion, but fricking Mauk keeps shitting the bed. He's just killing our salt in the wound crowd.

Our own respective teams are the salt to our wounds this year. I feel like the east is one big AA type support group for each others pain.

Large number of seniors and NFL signal callers leave SEC = for some we are the SEC we should be better

More than half of the starting QBs in the league left if I have that right off the top of my head. In 1-2 years when all of these guys are 2-3 year starters the SEC will have good arms again. This is one of the reasons State and OM are having such good years.

I'm done with watching Florida football until we see Treon starting. Driskel should make the move to TE. He has no instincts or feel for the game. He is a great athlete, but really terrible making decisions.

Thompson has played well....except for clutch situations with the game on the line in the 4th quarter.

For every thread you bump, I'll bump one for Mauk.
