I think we all can agree now that Blake played out of his mind against Florida and this is the Blake Sims we will see the rest of the year. I'm beginning to wonder how Coker can be much worst.

What would McElwain do with Sims and a terrible o-line?

It starts at coaching, yes, but it goes down to every last o-linemen that, aside from Cam Rob, has looked like they couldn't start at Hoover High School.

Oh sure because this game means more than the UF one...

I wish us Bama fans could get past this infatuation with the backup QB. Thank GOD we had a break when McCarron was starting...

Coker, Morris or Cornwell; Unless they completely missed in recruiting these guys, any of them would be ahead of where Sim's is after 6 games. Maybe they would have struggled early on, but the schedule was soft. This Sims is the Sims we will have the rest of the year, with no reps for the other guys. If the light hasn't come on by now, it isn't going to.

Tough to disagree. He looks like he did in years past and at A-Day. Like he has no idea what to do when he is looking down field.

I don't know if Coker is better, but if Sims doesn't improve next week, give Coker a chance vs UT.

Obviously the Florida game is the outlier. As I said earlier, it's not like Sims' athleticism is giving us some huge advantage. So we're dependent on his passing ability....which is average at best. His decision making ability is very questionable.

So considering all if that, is there that big of a dropoff between Sims and Coker?

He defintely handicaps the offense. This is two straight bad performances. The offensive line didn't do him any favors tonight, but they were more than adequate on passing plays.

Ole Miss gave the rest of our opponents the blue print on how to play our offense. Drop back in zone and roll the coverage toward Cooper. Sims' 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reads are all Cooper. He can't find others open against a zone. We had success against UF because they played a ton of man.

Road games against decent defenses.

Missing key offense players due to injury.

Anchored for lack of detail in the title. Will un-anchor if changed.

A far less mobile QB, behind a poor offensive line, trying to find receivers who can't get open. I can easily see how Coker could be worse.
