UGA fans, what's the latest with Chidi Okeke-Valentine?

Just read he is reclassified to 2015 class. Is it a done deal he's headed to Athens?

Rusty Mansell, one of the UGA 247 guys, just put a cb in for him to UGA and he's usually pretty good with those. It has to be one of the weirdest recruitments ever with the kid moving from Africa to Florida and then being moved from Florida to Atlanta all done by a religious group. And then he reclassifys to 2015. Very strange.

I don't know about done deal, but it's looking like that's where he's leaning.
He's been in Athens at least twice in the last two months, and UGA has been in the most steady contact throughout the transfer and reclass process.
I would guess UGA will try to bring him in on an OV soon to close the deal.

This is beyond strange. I also thought LSU would of had a lean on him since we took one of his teammates from last season. When did he move to ATL and when did he get reclassified?

His religious group decided to relocate him late this summer. He just enrolled in a small private school and reclassified in the last few days.

He's leaning hard to UGA. Was also at Dawgnight and was the only one there that reportedly could ahng with Ben Cleveland in size and speed.

What's odd is that he has never even played a high school football game, but is ranked so high.

No kidding. It's getting a bit ridiculous. Eventually no one will play games for fear of injury and schools will just use their camp performances as a measuring stick.

I can't imagine he'd be so highly ranked purely on potential but I can't find game film anywhere. Then again, I'm sure his old HS coaches probably aren't putting that at the top of their list of things to get together given that he is now in ATL.

There are pictures of him playing on 247. Maybe that was a spring game or something

Yeah, I've seen what look like practice picks at least. IDK. Clearly it's not just us interested, though; other schools want him too so I'm not gonna over analyze it
