This is the one weekend that I'll reserve my worries about the game until kickoff.

More excited about the party on the grove right now.

I thought he threw yesterday, just not during the media viewing period.

Na, I feel confident that we can beat them with Coker if it comes to that.

me too. If Blake hasn't been able to go in practice then they will have Jake ready to roll

Saban has done this stuff before. If you recall Saban personally hyped Chris Black before not playing him a single snap in the 2012 SEC Championship Game.

I'm much more likely to believe its a 'creative half-truth' that Sims is on a pitch count. I wouldn't worry at all. I won't believe a word that Sims is too injured until Jake takes the first snap. There is no reason for Saban to be honest about this issue because getting OM to study Jake Coker is a great distraction.

edit:
doesn't change how unspeakably nervous I am about the game, this is absolutely OM's Super Bowl and I don't get this pre-game jitter often. If OM keeps it close/has a lead early we need to watch out.

He hasn't thrown during the media viewing part of practice. That lasted a whole 8 minutes yesterday.

He's fine.

For what it is worth, and this is the fun speculation time, a poster on Wooly who says he knows Sims personally said he's completely fine. He also supposedly let out information of Sims being the starter for the first game before anyone else knew. That's his claim to fame. I dunno, he seems to be telling the truth, but I could also tell everyone here I have a 78 foot yacht I spend my Saturdays on.

Again, don't flame me for bringing this here, just passing on anything.

That means the team upcoming has to prepare for 2 different QB's. While they are somewhat similar, they are different as well. It's a tactical advantage and one that I would exploit in Saban's position as well.

Kcoyote,

I am the one you speak of from Wooley. I claim no fame people just know I am credible it's that simple. I talk to Blake daily or bi daily, known him a while.

On the shoulder bit, he is fine, not just him saying it but three other coaches. He said the pain was never sharp just sore (which is good). He made some full throwing motions after the game trying to replicate any pains, nothing.

For fun I also said we would run the read option and the wild cat, to which no one believed either
