UGA is the best dog mascot in all of college football, if not the best live mascot. Sorry LSU, love Mike but he's not around enough.

Aside from my partiality to hounds, I went with "Which dog would I most enjoy spending time outdoors with?" as a criterion.
Modern bulldogs aren't as suited to spending a lot of time outdoors as they were when the breed was first developed -- so that elimiates Uga and Bully.
A collie would be a grooming nightmare if we went innawoods, plus her instinct might be to try to herd both me and anything we might run across, so that eliminates Reveille.
I can totally see myself just walking through the forest, hanging out with Smokey.
