Good to see this type of thing. The rivarly should be more about respect - like they players show each other - and less about idiots like Updyke.

Honoring Lutz with bracelet

Does Vogler have a connection with Lutz in some way other than TE is their position?

Seriously, why do people question good deeds? Are we that jaded these days?

I love the fact that you know Auburn players would do the same thing. RIP Philip.

I have always said, the players have much more class than the fans.

I don't know about Tuscaloosa, Not questioning the kid wearing a Lutz bracelet at all. I am curious if there is back story. Sometimes those are pretty cool.

Wish there were more people like Vogler and less like Tuscaloosa.

I found this tweet he sent.
quote:

RIP to my good friend @lutzenkirchen. From highschoolers prowling seaside to opponents on the field you've given me great memories bud.

I know a ton of their players showed up in Tuscaloosa after the tornado in 2011. So, yeah, I have no doubt that the PLAYERS on both sides are considerably classier about the rivalry than the FANS on both sides are.

It wasn't an attempt at humor. They asked for a connection - I offered a potential one.

Someone found the tweet that shows they know each other, so there's the connection.

Vogler tweeted when Phillip passed away:

quote:

They apparently were friends in high school.
