Meh, I imagine by that time, bama will have lost to ole miss and a&m will continue is undefeated roll. Not really a game of the century when bama isn't undefeated.

tv networks were renegotiating in mid season in order to show 9-6 in primetime.

Until we see that again, no game can be called "Game of the Century"

anyways little brothers(Auburn/Texas ATM) are automatically disqualified from any "Game of the Century" distinction.

Even though we lost that one, I have to agree that WAS the game of the century. Perhaps the best teams LSU and Bama have ever fielded. Celebrities came from far and wide to see the game. Huge crowd on campus, electric atmosphere in the stadium, and a great game all around. The entire college football world was focused on this one.

The win at the end of the season took the sting out of that loss.

I distinctly remember that game being one of the most boring games I've ever watched.

The amount of NFL players from those combined rosters is absolutely staggering. Has to be the highest of all time. Nearly all the starters for both teams made it to the league.

You mean how is Alabama LOSING to the #15 team in the country with the eventual Heisman winner @home the game of the century?

thats because you don't like great defense.

and lofl at 2012 A&M Bama being considered a game of the century. That was a trap game. Not even close to GOtC caliber.

You know your conference is strong when the Game of the Century is to decide who will be 3rd or 4th in the West.
