Oh and I almost forgot, he never ever protected players who were struggling. What's that Cyrus? Striker is blowing past you every time? I'll dial up a few slow developing pass plays to help you out. frick screen plays or running at him.

The only times I can actually remember him playing to our strengths and going with the hot hand for real was the second half of the UGA game in 2012.

And it took him WAYYYY too long to do that. It was obvious to anyone watching that game....or hell, that season, that no one could frick with us running the ball. That was an NFL offensive line who got stronger the more they ran.

Against ANY team we should've been running the ball more, but especially against a UGA team that got gashed by South Carolina earlier that year and was very good at pass rushing.

I can only imagine Saban going to him and saying "Don't call another fricking pass play until I say" and then we just chucked it to Coop

and last year against auburn. We need one yard for the first. Straight up the middle behind a backup center who has been getting blown off the ball the whole game

Amen....and it took him way too long to go to the run game. I'd like to think Saban just unplugged Nuss' headset.

Nuss was a terrible playcaller. He was an absolute slave to balance. He would never go with a hot hand. Nuss should've been fired after we failed to convert against A&M at the goal line in the end of the 2012 game.

Nuss was way too obsessed with being "balanced" to the point he'd forget that the point was to actually move the ball and score.

Do what works.

Mixing it up soley for the sake of mixing it up is retarded.

Having the ABILITY to do everything is what's important.

His last game against OU is a testament to that. Henry is running wild and OU is getting tons of pressure and sacks? A sane man would just run the ball a ton or throw quick screens. But not ole Nuss, we're gonna keep calling those long developing routes by gum.

Stole a box of Little Debbies from Saban's desk, got kicked off the coaching staff, but auburn already had Malzahn so they wouldn't take him.
