Arie Kouandjio. Time to give this dude some props. A lot of us thought he was a weak link who might be beat out for his spot. Well he's stepped up and shown he deserves to be out there. Good job Arie. I'm proud of you so far.

He really is. Just enough nasty in him to keep plowing over folks. Good call.

Also, Xavier Dickson.

He has had a good year so far, hope he keeps it up. We run alot better to the left than the right. Leon Brown has been the weak link thus far...lots of penalties and gets beat alot. If we can get that RG spot figured out this OL could be pretty good.

Was also really impressed with Reed yesterday. Anderson and Dickson have also been nice surprises as well. We just need to get the secondary healthy and we may have a pretty darn good defense.

Glad both my "brothers" Arie and Shepherd are doing really well so far this season.

Arie had a consistency problem that seems to have cleared up, has always been a good pulling guard. I think the improved LT play has helped too, seems to have a better connection on field.

Now Tefleon Brown on the other hand...

Actually that's always been one of the knocks on Arie, that he wasn't athletic enough to pull like Warmack did. Has Arie been pulling alot this year? I have not noticed it.

I can't believe we don't have a better option on the bench like Grant Hill or someone. Brown has played horribly so far this year.

i thought taylor was doing an ok job, if he was also getting beat at least he wasnt generating 2-3 penalties every game as well.

I don't get why Dom, Shank, Hill or anyone else isn't an option at RG. I'm guessing since we haven't gived up many sacks that the staff is taking the good with the bad because we can't run to the right side. But our rollouts are to that side.

I was going to bring up AS as well. Really glad to see both of them stepping up and playing great as seniors.

CRob is even better than advertised and should only get better

Very disappointed in Kelly. The way Barrett Jones and CNS spoke about him, I really thought he was going to be a stud, but he has not impressed me.

Leon Brown had an awful game. Thought he was ok in previous games outside of penalties. If Dom Jackson cracks the line-up have to think it'll be at RG

he is just not powerful. i wonder what the run game would look like with 320lb bozeman in there at center and dom jackson at right guard?

Wouldn't there be more rollouts to that side anyway given the fact that Blake Sims is a righty?

My hope was he would put on about 10-15 pounds of muscle over the offseason. I think his size has a lot to do with not being able to run up the middle consistently.

He's heavy footed, so has taken him longer in the past to get out there. How Warmack dominated that spot though, it's hard for most to compare.

I've seen a few, not sure how many this year though.

i think that was just a lingering effect from the injuries. players come back pretty quick these days, but the bigger you are the longer it takes to get to 100%. he looks alot more agile out there this year

they've been damn good. Who was it that was in here whining about Anderson having t-rex arms? He's done a damn good job this year with those short arms.

I was at the game. When Cam Rob came out for a play because his helmet came off, I thought it was telling who came in the game. Grant Hill grabbed his helmet and was basically sprinting out onto the field. The staff called him back and Shank came in the came at RG. Leon brown switched to LT. So even though G Hill is playing LT when the twos come in, I don't know if he really is the top backup OL.

And yes Arie is playing surprisingly well. It helps that our true freshman LT is playing very well. I think we have upgraded the position over last year.

not sure what the staff sees in Leon. He might be a better option at tackle but I do not like what he provides at guard. He doesnt get much push and he gets too many penalties. I thought Shank shouldve won the job coming out of camp, but im sure the staff has their reasons.
