I have no ideas statistically where they are rated, but I would say that UF has the better pass and rushing D.

I would've said Florida before yesterday but now how can you? State's line is really good and UF had the worst defensive performance in the history of the program...against Blake Sims.

I just taking a guess really on the stats, but yeah that State rushing defense looked really good. Good dlinemen and that one LBers was awesome.

Well, statistically, we are the #1 red zone D in the nation by a large margin, and I'm pretty ok with that.

neither secondaries are that great, but I give the edge to MSU because their team is undefeated

I thought they were going to crowd the line, shut down the bubble screen and show everybody how terrible a QB Blake was?

Now they're turrible.

Looked up another, total defense.

MSU 78

UF. 83

Interesting.

Of course it had nothing to do with Bama actually having a pretty good offense... "Florida's defense just sucks and Bama is overrated..." SECRANT

1/3 of that for Florida was the whole most yards in school history ever given up vs. Alabama.

Florida does not have a good defense. It is decent and have some good ones playing D, but not as a whole. They looked over-matched physically.

MSU looks pretty damn solid and the eye test looked better than Florida.

Exactly. Friday, Florida's defense was gonna shut Sims down because he couldn't throw deep. And Hargreaves would handle Coop easily. Today: Florida's defense sux! Hilarious.

I'm not saying either has a good defense either, I just though after last night MSU would be ranked much higher in every meaningful defensive statistical category.

The eye test State definitely looked way more physical though.

And state has an excellent red zone defense as well, so yeah I would rather face UF's defense.

I thought after the games yesterday that State would statistically be much better than them.

We also gave up nearly 500 yards to Kentucky. If not for the EMU stats, we would be even closer to the bottom.

When does the "against Blake Sims" line play itself out? Seriously, What does the kid have to do to be taken seriously?

I was pretty shocked at Blake Simms performance, but I never understood the posters who thought Florida was going to win. I said before the game that I simply don't have enough confidence in Muschamp to expect a Florida victory

After the manhandling of LSU, I'm going with State this week.
