If you poll the tiger rant, the majority of the Tiger fanbase feels like Les is underachieving given the talent that LSU pulls in year after year. The lack of competing for a national championship in recent years coupled with the success of Auburn, Texas A&M, and Alabama, you can see why they feel a little let down by Les even with consistent 10 win seasons.

BUT if you look at a teams like Florida, Georgia, & UTk and how they have become mediocre even with all the advantages of an SEC power school, you really start to appreciate a coach like Les Miles.

He really is a solid coach and LSU is lucky to have him.

Can't speak for anyone else but I think the guy that has to follow Miles has his work cut out for him. That's a hard act to follow.

Upvote. I agree. Les gets crap because he followed the BEST coach in LSU history, but jeez Les is now at 2 or 3 right?

Yeah, I kept waiting for the backhanded compliment. Miles can frustrate the hell out of me at times, but he puts W's on the board. That is the ultimate goal. I love the guy's personality and he represents LSU well. I am a big Les Miles fan.

Coaches seem to love to coach under Miles, which is tough for me to completely understand. It's not like he has some kind of football specialty that they all respect. His specialty is supposedly OL, but LSU hasn't been anything special there since he's been there (only a couple of guys drafted).

He is loyal to his players and coaches, and I think that makes a great coach.

yeah people make it out like anyone should be able to win at the really big schools

that's just not true. Miles is a really good coach

I actually started to post something about how Les should be doing more with the talent and all of the SEC resources... but frick. Muschamp can't even sustain success at Florida. Georgia Southern???

Les is solid.

This is the kind of grind that makes my wiener feel vaguely tingly and sleepy.
