LSU fans, what are your thoughts on the defensive front issues this year?

The Tigers have a history a of strong defensive front seven; however, this season I can't name a single outstanding player.

I can confidently say that none of your DT's would crack the two deep of Eulls/Jones/Jones/James at state, what does your DE situation look like? Obviously you don't have a Preston Smith, but then again, no SEC team has ever had a DE win DL of the week in 3 consecutive weeks.

I have to admit I'm rather ignorant on your LB roster as well. I know none would start, but are any of the caliber to make second team at State?

In light of these issues, how do you intend to stop the Dak and Robinson run game, let alone the diamond read option, with your front seven?

Yall can have Welter to see how well he may fit in....

We have those Chavis-Type LBs, They are smaller/faster guys to defend the spread. They have been able to help the D-Line because of the steller coverage.

we are very weak in the front 7...i expect state to score a td exposing just how weak we are. State is no SHSU or ULM.

No dominate names like McFarland, Dorsey, Williams, or Brockers; however, I think they will get better with experience. As a fan base, most are puzzled that the 3 RS Freshmen are not playing more; considering we are starting a true Freshmen at DT.

They're still good, but you're right not near as good as usual.

It is indeed. It's not your secondary that will be tested.

clangaclangaclangaclangaclanga!!!!!! ..you guys have made my week go by faster. thank you.

but to answer your questions our LB's will have to keep containment and be very efficient on ball/handoff recognition in order to be at the right place at the right time in order to help out our d-line that will absolutely have their hands full.

The talent is there, I'm just confused as to why it isn't showing. No reason for LSU/Bama not to have the best defensive front 7 every single year.

This relates to his question about the front 7 how?

It's you LSU fans that are turning tRant into what it is. If you would just stay over at the TigerRant with the group think this place would be a lot better.

Luckily, LSU's defensive line will not have to go up against MSU's defensive line.

By sending LSU's defensive line against MSU's offensive line.

I realize you are expecting a troll, and to be fair there were some underlying jabs, but I'm being pretty serious. I have questions about your team and why they aren't strong where they should be. I'm much happier with legit answers than your attempts to mimic the grind.

I don't think I stated that we were?
