I made a thread on the MSB similar to this one, but I thought better discussion could be had here.

I'd rather live in Columbia, SC but even with Spurrier they can't win a championship so I'm going with toss-up.

I'd rather Knoxville. You have a river to play on and Mountains not too far away.

Spurrier not winning an SEC Chmpionship is concerning for their future. Plus, the fact that UT has better facilities, more in-state talent, doesn't have to share that in-state talent now that Franklin is gone, and has better history. I'm rolling UT for the future. THere's literally no difference between UT and Bama as far as resources to win. I know UT is broke and all, but they went broke building facilities comparable to BAma and TAMU.

No chance. Knoxville is a much better area/town. I would say Knoxville specifically because of the underlying area and I feel that Tennessee and South Carolina have similar chances in stealing recruits from GA so that's kind of a toss-up. Tennessee has much better historical tradition than USCe.

Yep. I feel the same way.

Central TN and Nashville is booming population-wise and it's starting to show up in the recruiting numbers. Josh Malone, jalen Ramsey, Todd Kelly, Rico McGraw, Derek Barnett etc.

With UT's better facilities and better tradition, I'd think that as soon as they start winning a little bit, they'd easily pull in some GA recruits over USCe.

Tennessee is an ugly campus but the climate and area around K-ville is beautiful. I'd go there

Agreed, but we are in the middle of a massive renovation. Campus will be radically different in 10 years.

UGA fans rushing in to complain about how much they hate Columbia?

I'm stunned. Purely stunned.

I'd rather live in Knoxville, but South Carolina has a much better talent base to pull from in state. There is 0 reason that they don't have a conference title under their belt by now.

These are both debatable.

SC has great facilities. Also, SC has better in-state talent. Tennessee used to recruit in SC all time. Justin Worley is from Rock Hill, SC.

But, I'd rather live in Knoxville.

ummmmm...no they don't. Just because they had 2 stars in Clwoney and Lattimore recently, doesn't mean that their talent overall has been better.

The past 4 recruiting cycles is as follows:

SC- 26 4 and 5* players
TN- 40 4 and 5* players

The population growth in TN (especially Nashville and Central TN) is really helping TN talent. Plus, you don't have to worry about sharing it now that Vandy is terrible. USCe still has to share with Clemson who has much better facilities.

Head Coach of Tennessee, no question. Awesome stadium, great uniforms, gorgeous scenery, and the music in the stadium doesn't sound like an Aggie nightclub.

Not really.

They do, but UT's facilities are on another level than USCe. You should check them out online.

True. However, population has shifted. The past 4 years, TN has had MUCH more in-state talent than South Carolina.

See, Bama fans know UT's true potential.

UT isn't much different from Bama potential-wise.

* Both have great history
* Both have great facilities/stadiums
* Both have some in-state talent, but need OOS talent to survive.
* Both need GA and FL talent and go nationally to supplement the in-state talent.
