What the frick? Either some a-hole was flying in Nasa's airspace and got shot down right after uploading this picture, or this picture is fake.

I wish they could had something next to the iceberg to give us the size of it.

That space shuttle one was my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't vet that one out..

quote:

No, it is a composite of two different images put together by photographer Richard Silvera.

“The picture of the sky and clouds was taken by me from an airplane,” Silvera wrote on his website, “and the shuttle is a picture from NASA. Then the assembly was done in Photoshop & Lightroom

eta - I shoulda known on first look, as the shuttle was never at a 90 degree angle like that after lift off.

eta, eta - And again, it's always interesting to see which pictures garner the discussion. Almost always different than the 1 or 2 that I think will get the attention.

if this picture is real ( I'm not a photo expert) then it was probably taken by a military or nasa plane that was cleared into the area. A civilian plane would have been intercepted long before the shuttle even left the ground

It's not like it wasn't already known, but it is worth saying again that Grace Kelly was a stunningly beautiful woman.

You should also know that NASA will scrub any launch if there is even the smallest cumulus cloud in the area.
