I know it was against Vandy, but I was impressed with Buchanan

The offense just seemed to click with him under center and he is way more athletic than I thought he would be. Obviously Switchblade is more ahtletic than him but when he ran the read he looked a lot like Bo. I think when the decision has to be made he is going to be our starting quarterback and Kincade will get thrown in there from time to time like Brunetti did. That's assuming he doesn't transfer.

I think the race will be closer than people originally thought, but I'm not ready to say Kincade will lose the job. We've seen how hard he's willing to work and I think Ryan showing out will only motivate him more.
Ryan looked great, like I knew he would, but I'll reserve judgement of DK until I see him get a chance to run a full drive like Ryan had.

I would think the thing holding Kincade back is his size.

Freeze said it best earlier this week. Ryan looks comfortable in the pocket, makes his reads then makes his decision. DK seems a little bit overwhelmed at times when he is out there but he's a freshman. He will grow out of that.

If you asked me who will see more snaps this year I'll say DK. If you all me who gets the job if Bo goes down I'd say Ryan.

I'll agree with that. The only thing that is really hindering DK right now is his size and his passing ability. I think Ryan is the more intelligent quarterback (not saying DK isn't smart because he definitely is) who knows the playbook and can read the coverage defenses are throwing at him. His arm just seems like it's a lot stronger than DK's too. But time will tell. I'm kind of excited about that QB race because whoever comes out on top we are in good hands. Freeze and Dan Werner know what they're doing coaching quarterbacks.

It's just hard to play QB when you are 5'11-6'0.

I hope they each get at least one drive this weekend.
I know they both did with Vandy, but it was split up. I would have liked to have seen BroCannon finish the drive where Switchblade scored.

Old switchy gave up the only turnover in the game that ended up leading to a Vandy field goal. Screw that, let's stick with the pocket passer that runs from time to time.

But when you're 5'11 3/4 you are a god.

Keeping the expectations nice and low.

I liked Buchanan's release. Much faster than Bo. Basically to me he looked like Bo 2.0 with a better release. Once he has a year or two experience under his belt, I don't see why there would be a drop off. He could be Bo without the turnovers. I see upside.

I was impressed with Buchanan Saturday. He looked poised while he was on the field. Freeze has said over and over again that Ryan is more athletic than people give him credit for.
RB and DK should get plenty of snaps in the next couple of weeks. I hope we see good things from both.

I liked what I saw, but I want to see more from both.
