goes to 2014 Alabama imo and even Bama fans will agree. They're riding on past 5 years of Bama reputation and success but this team really has zero substance to be a Top 5 team. Once they face a defense that's not bottom 10% of FBS, offense will be proven to be a train wreck. Their LB corp sucks and defense will keep the tradition of giving up 79 points to Auburn and Chokelahoma. Folks, this team isn't even close to the old Alabama team of 2011-2012.

I like you.I'll bite.

Bama is not a number 2 team. They are loaded with talent though and a threat to anyone though.

I wish they were 6 or 7.

I don't think they are right now either...they certainly could be though if they improve. Bama has enough talent to win it all. How good of a team they are though is yet to be determined, just like, you know everyone else.

I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt though that they're better than Tennessee, so there's that

And then his alma mater proved him wrong. But I digress.

Exactly. Most talented, best coached team in the country...and even they have ebbs and flows...this is just a down year by Bama's standards (meaning they are perfectly capable of winning every game on their schedule but based on the product they are putting on the field, probabilities, etc...probably won't). I bet Bama wins another 2 national championships in the next 5 years. Just not this year.

That's cool.

We'll still beat Tennessee.

Bama looked shaky against WV - but put their creampuff away like they were supposed to

# 2 MAY be too high, but they are justifiably ranked until someone (hello Tenn) knocks them off their pedestal

Right now, it seems that they are trying to groom their new QB

I thought Colin Cowherd was insane when he said Tennessee would upset Alabama. I still think he is wrong but this is actually possible.

I't possible but highly improbable.

Tennessee's OL is hot garbage. They averaged less than 4 YPC against Bert State.

And we got some players on the defensive line. Just need some coaching.

Serious parallels to the 2010 team when you think about it. I think Bama's offense is legit but not impressed with their defens. I thought losing Moseley and Sunseri would be huge.

Agreed. I don't see how they are ahead of AU or Oregon along with a couple of others. They do have the talent to be good though. I would predict 2-3 losses for them even if they get better unless they drastically improve.
