Gurley looking strong as expected.

Mariota and Winston will be in the thick of this all year in my opinion.

People taking immediate notice of Kenny Hill.

Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia 48
Marcus Mariota, QB Oregon 35
Jameis Winston, QB Florida State 24
Kenny Hill, QB, Texas A&M 20
Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska 12
Cody Kessler, QB, USC 3
Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor 3
Everett Golson, QB, Notre Dame 2
Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA 1
Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA 1
T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama 1

Also, Week one Heisman watch is about as pointless as preseason rankings.

Are you really gonna start that after it's pretty obvious that Gurley has been decided as the better back?

I disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion of course.

Should Gurley and Hill maintain this level of play throughout, who takes the hardware? Does Gurley get the nod for body of work or does the traditional QB bias win out?

Gurley is much more important to his team. You could put any QB in Sumlin's system and he could put up ridiculous numbers.

The way Gurley ran the other day, you could tell he was on a mission. He was running angry. If Alabama doesn't go far, I wanna see Georgia go all the way this year. That 2012 game was amazing and I have so much more respect for the Dawgs after it.

First, if they both maintain their current pace, Hill would have like 6,000 yards passing and 36 passing TDs through 12 games and Gurley would have 2,400 rushing yards and 36 rushing TDs as well.

Seriously, though I think people might be itching to give to a RB that puts up big numbers this year as well as giving it to a guy who has been playing a few years for a change. If Gurley keeps it up, it will be his.

Agreed but Hill's numbers could be astronomical and what if Chubb begins to cut into his carries just to keep Gurley healthy for the stretch run

eta: I get that it's one game and you multiply both their stats and you get video game type data

This is the problem with RBs in the Heisman race these days. Too many teams (wisely) are splitting the load between 2-3 backs. The individual stats just aren't there when you compare to these QBs that are throwing the ball 50 times a game.

I don't think he aimed that at all Bama posters. Just one in particular.

'Sides, he likes it when you spank him.....sooooooo
