I think the polls are gonna be volatile for awhile. I also think that if you get a lead and can keep scoring you should pour on the coals. This take a knee for mercy and sportsmanship stuff I think is going to go out the window in the new era.

I'm just glad the polls don't have a thing to do with anything anymore except for fanbases shite talking other fanbases. FSU and bama is BS of the highest order. Now that may be different in another month, but right now.........

Well I'm fine with them now, as long as we take care of business we'll be in the playoff. I think we could lose a game and still make it as long as we win the SEC. I'm still not sure how Alabama is ahead of two teams that beat them last year and returned more than they did but go figure...

This WIlner guy though doesn't seem that bad. Just looks like he ranks based on that single game performance and nothing based on preseason thoughts.

Of course polls have "something to do with it".
That's all the new system is... a new poll with a 4-team playoff attached.
And the new poll will have all the failings and biases of the old polls, just a different group of people doing them. As a matter of fact, considering the fact that they have removed the computers from the equation, the "new" poll is likely to be MORE susceptible to biases than the BCS process IMO.

It's easy to say win out.. but it's also awfully easy to see what happens if you're the odd man out in a similar situation. There's gonna be a time where a deserving team is left out of this 4 man playoff.

I think it will be better than the beauty pageant BS system we have been using.
