USC has already been exposed. #2 Alabama and #6 Auburn are in tight games for the moment as well. Bama is showing weakness in the secondary like USC against Kenny Hill. Could 3 top 10 SEC teams all lose their season openers? Not likely, but certainly possible at the moment. Georgia and LSU may have tough games tonight as well. I don't see how Bama is #2 after what they lost and having a new QB. Polls shouldn't come out until October.

I believe so. They don't deserve that many teams in the top 10, probably 1 less in the top 25. It's not like they are terrible, but they are no where close to overly dominant and shouldn't be viewed as such.

Re: SEC overrated?

They always get the benefit of claim that the SEC is so much tougher than anyone else. So when they lose they still get credit for losing to a top ranked team. Yet they all started the year ranked without proving anything. Total self-fulfilling prophecy of only losing to top teams when all the teams you play are either bunnies or "so-called top" teams.

The ACC has done a great job over the last year and a half of beating SEC teams in head to head matchups. We need to continue if the ACC is going to get respect. So far this year, it's not looking good.

Re: SEC overrated?

The SEC is awful and Georgia in particular is terrible. Conferences that have teams lose to them should probably no longer be in the P5. Certainly not if the teams that lose to them finish in the upper half of their respective conference.

The ACC is below MWC at this point. They should just go ahead and turn in their P5 card

My personal favorite. Didn't every ranked team start the year ranked without proving anything?

that win over florida was the greatest win in their history.. you see any time an acc team beats an sec team, they consider it to be monumental. it is considered a phenominal feat and quite rare. when an uinterested lsu got beat by Clemson dabo screeched afterward, that Clemson was national championship team. florida state and then a huge drop off, huge. frick the acc.

All I'm choosing to take from this is that a team that is not in the SEC had a fan that called us USC.

Yep. It has begun.

I know this will shock most of you, but almost every team's fans, outside of the SEC, think that we are over-rated as a conference. They get the SEC shoved down their throats by espn all day every day. The reality is that they want to feel like their programs can be relevant on the national stage and the only way that happens is if the SEC slides backwards into the pack. It's more hope than anything, IMO.

Sounds about right. This is the delusional shite we have to listen to on a daily basis. Wait till y'all hear where they believe their place is among the college football elite.
