Last night was a total shocker for myself and I fathom many Gamecocks. You beat us at home easily and your RSFR QB played the best game any opposing QB has ever played in Williams Brice. Y'all were much better prepared for that game and it showed. Good luck the rest of the season.

Gamecocks have a suspect pass defense this year for the first time since I can remember. Even under Holtz, our pass defense was solid. We are too young at CB and the FR got burned. For the first time in 6 years I don't think we have a DE who is SEC caliber, we couldn't generate any sort of pass rush, obviously.

Our Spec Teams got MUCH better from last season, the punter improved his Avg Net Punt by 7 yards and we had plenty of touchbacks.

We'll see how the Gamecocks finish this season, but the blueprint is out there now, other teams just need to pass the ball a lot.

I'll need to consult with the vols, gators, georgia bulldogs and aggies who have recently been where we are now. How do you deal with having a great team 1 year and then watch your win total fall and know that this season might be a rough ride?

Thanks. Cocks have been all class since the game.

One correction. Kenny is a true SO. He played 3rd string last year as a fish.

Couple years ago UGA lost first TWO then ran the table the rest of the SEC year. Could happen. I doubt it, but it could.

How do you deal? You just support the team no matter what.

Losses happen, you don't play on the team. All you can control is your attitude about the wins/losses. Have fun with both.

That was intended as more more of a rhetorical tongue in cheek question, but thank you for your answer.

Don't worry...Mike Davis will have a career Day and ruin UGA's season in a few weeks...

Thanks!

Y'all will be fine. You have a talented team and a class coach who knows football.

Good luck the rest of the year!

Aggienation has the perfect opportunity to bash you guys and I haven't seen even one fan do so. (Gradual Stroke must still be asleep )

That's class in my book.

I don't think your team is nearly as rusty as folks around here are saying.
The Ags caught lightning in a bottle last night.
And Sumlin is one of the best in the business at what he does.
Shake it off and enjoy the season.
Life is ... fleeting.
Thanks for the quality post and good luck this year.

I'd be lying if I said I expected that outcome. I'll be pulling for the cocks this year, while pulling my cock.

I was very impressed with the Aggies on both sides of the ball. Hill may be a better QB than Manziel when it's all said and done, and as much as our OL was hyped it was obvious who had the better line. I was embarrassed to see our defense play flag football instead of SEC football but A&M's athleticism had a lot to do with it. Congrats and good luck against Georgia or Florida in Atlanta

That was a very impressive performance by A&M,going on the road into a hostile environment and dominating a team no one gave them a chance to beat.

Great people at tailgate and stadium for the game.

How do you guys think that we travelled? Less, more, or about what you expected?
