I crashed after our rout last night and went straight to bed. I honestly forgot the dores had a game and checked the scores this morning to see they got schilacked by Temple. WTF happened? Who watched? What were the problems?

1. Not a deflection thread. We got our asses beat and I know this
2. Not a troll, I have nothing against Vandy and they don't have enough Ranters to make it worthwhile.

It looks like Franklin is even a better coach than I thought. No wonder USC fans wanted him instead of Sark.

They're looking like an auto win again. I fully expect them to be the worst team in the SEC. Temple was 2-10 last year, it's not like they were even a good MAC team

Derek Mason is about as competent as Derek Dooley. Actually I think he's better than Derek Dooley.

Franklin left, took the recruits with him, and no Jordan Matthews is walking through that door.

They have 3 bad QBS to choose from. The indecision didn't help. The turnovers killed them.

I think Temple was like 2-16 on 3rd down. That would usually be good news for the other team. Unless the other team gives up the ball 7 times.

1. Franklin left.
2. Played 4 different QBs.(Maybe 3, couldnt keep up with all the names ive never heard before)
3. Temple wanted it more.
4. Just as many turnovers as points hurt them, im sure.

It honestly couldve been worse. Their only points came off a bad Temple snap and Temple was playing horribly as well, if it was any other Power5 School (other than SCar that is), Vandy wouldve not only been completely shut-out but also probably had 70+ dropped on them.

I work with the mother of an Auburn commit that had offers from basically everyone, she said Franklin was the best recruiter that they met.

-They couldn't decide on who to play at quarterback.
-They didn't try to run the ball with their scat back.
-They didn't realize that turning the ball over was a bad thing.
-They cost me $100 f*%king dollars.

There was a thread a few days ago asking which team could go winless in the SEC. I said UK...might need to rethink that. That was ugly.

Franklin is definitely a good coach. I have a lot of Vanderbilt alums in my office and I watched a good bit of them last year. Franklin got out at the right time. Vanderbilt lost their key players from last season (Matthews, Carta-Samuels). But even last year, Vanderbilt struggled to move the ball offensively. They could score, but it just seemed so difficult for them. They really, really had to work for it.

I can say that it'll take time to implement Mason's system and whatnot, but Vanderbilt won't win with that "system". He needs to hit the recruiting trail and hit it fast.

He needs to forget that "power run" crap and quit it fast. That won't work at Vanderbilt. He needs to look at what Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, etc are doing. Start recruiting some athletes and spread the field. Northwestern had a lot of success with their high powered offenses in the 90's and early 2000's. Vanderbilt needs to go that route.
