Yeah, that was a bad idea from the start.

When neutral site games go wrong...

Lame excuse. They've known about it for months... fans could have made arrangements to make it there. If it had been LSU, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, etc... the SEC side of the stadium would have been full and then some.

That was embarrassing.

Agree 100%

It was initially going to be in Oxford but we got money and exposure in this game so you have to take it. We still have 7 home games too. That being said whoever thought having a team from Idaho play Thursday night on Atlanta and expect a lot of ticket sales needs to be fired

Well Alabama fans collect welfare checks for their income so missing work isn't really a concern

Lame excuse? If ole miss brought 35,000, then they held up their end of the deal. You don't invite Boise state to play in Atlanta on a Thursday night. Made no sense.

I don't agree with you in this case....school is underway in Mississippi and why would you want to take your kids out for two or three days so early in the school year...

IMO Ole Miss held up their end of the deal with what they sold and what showed up on a Thursday night given who it's against.

And as said, it was unfair to expect Boise State to bring that especially when this isn't the BCS-esque Boise State of the last decade who was trying to break through to the mNC.

It was pitiful planning.

The problem is you had Boise which was a tough trip for those guys.
An ACC opponent would have been a better fit and matchup to bring fans.

The whole upper deck was empty not just the endzones.

We did our part. Bringing 30 thousand people 4+ hours on a Thursday night is nothing to scoff at.

It doesn't help to have one of the opponents from 3,000 miles away and on a Thursday night. BSU only sold 1,800 tickets.

We brought 30K, we did our part for a Thursday night game a full time zone away from where most of our fanbase resides.

Ole Miss isn't big enough to carry the game without BSU helping. They're not a big school/fan base and they don't have hangers on to buy cheap tickets.

Just a dumb decision all around, but OM largely held up their end.
