Vould they fall all the way out of the top 25?

Blow out loss at home to a RS Freshman making his first start, who throws for a school record 511 yds.

I'm guessing they fall behind A&M?

I think they swapped defenses with A&M before the game. Awful.

I am also not sure they have a qb that has good vision and clearly accuracy is a problem.

Prospects not that great. I think they fall to 20.

They'll be ranked.
They lost to a ranked team.
I'm thinking around #17-20ish.
Some of you are way too hard on SC and giving very little credit to their opponent.

Kind of what I think also. I am anxious to see how much A&M jumps.

This.

It reminds me of some of the games we played against Arkansas with the mismatches.

Arkansas came into Williams Brice in 2010 (when we won the East) and put an equally terrible beatdown on us.

It depends how the rest of the top 25 does.

Looking at the teams below them:

10. Baylor - plays SMU
11. Stanford - plays UC Davis
12. Georgia - plays #16 Clemson
13. LSU - plays #14 Wisconsin
15. USC - plays Fresno State with turmoil in the program
17. Notre Dame - plays Rice
18. Ole Miss - won 35-13
19. Arizona State - won 45-14
20. Kansas State - plays SFA
22. Nebraska - plays FAU
23. North Carolina - plays Liberty
24. Missouri - plays SD State
25. Washington - plays Hawaii

Unless Oklahoma State beats Florida State, I really don't see South Carolina falling out of the top 20.

If Georgia and LSU hold serve, as long as there's not a MAJOR upset in the FSU/OkSt, Alabama/WV, UCLA/Virginia, and OSU/Navy games, A&M probably jumps to about 13.

They should fall out of the ranking. They showed me absolutely nothing that says they are a top 25 team.

Well they lost to a ranked team, so that is not going to happen.

Start the season 1-2 with losses to A&M and UGA, then we will be out of the rankings.

I agree with this. That said, it really depends on how the other teams in the rankings look as well. If they stay in, they should be 22-25 range. If out, then in 25-30 range. I'm sure USC will eventually work their way back in the rankings, but at this point, they need to just do that - work their way back in and earn the ranking. And that really goes for all teams following Week 1's preseason rankings.

In remembrance of their departed teammate, clownley, they took a night off.

If you're going to lose 1 game in a season, the 1st week is to do it. There is a huge bias for loses at the end of the season.
