Neutral site games are en vogue again and they let Legion Field become an after thought. Oh well. Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas are fun places to go see neutral site games.

It was an afterthought when Alabama quit playing there in 2003. Probably before.

I imagine after the Olympics are over, the Olympic stadium would get some games.

Is someone here going to take offense to laughing at Legion Field and/or Birmingham? I'd think not.

It's an afterthought, and always has been, due to being located in Alabama.

Yes, it was an afterthought after they spruced it up for the 96 Olympics. Place was a dump, but man was it a fun place to go to games as a student. I loved going to games there.

There is no fixing the area around Legion Field. I went by there last year just because I thought it was part of the "Bama experience." I could have walked in the stadium if I wanted to, but I didn't feel safe enough to try it.

Why would you do that? Anyway, just waiting in Hoover to build a dome and take over as Alabama's main hub.
