Will always cheer for UTC. Not only are they a system school but many I know attended but they bust their tails playing hard opponents and getting better. They have a good stadium, loyal fanbase, and are nearby. Their fan loyalty is amazing given how close they are to UT and UGA and their current staff has, imo, really worked to make them better. They beat lower tier Power5 schools more often than they should and play the best of the Power5 as well.

They've also been around for just over 100 years now and produced some NFL greats despite being a smaller school. How can you not admire a school like that?

With the new coach it's hard not to shout "Go Mocs!'

Jackson County, Al is the only area of the state that gets in-state tuition credit at UTC. I'd love for my high school senior to go there, but not that bad.

Finley Stadium is surprisingly nice. I know that they used to host the 1-AA Championship there, but that's a quality facility. As the city grows in stature, I'd think it could realistically host a bowl game. It would, at the very least, be a better trip than Shreveport or Birmingham.

UTC's campus is also attractive for being a commuter school. Now, if they'd only commit to razing McKenzie Arena and building a proper multi-purpose facility on the Southside like they keep discussing, we'd be in business.

Finley holds over 20k doesn't it? I mean that's huge for a FCS school, especially one surrounded by bigger programs and so many other things to compete with.

Fwiw, I really like the roundhouse. But I understand what you're saying and you're right.
