I like Chizik on tv. He seems fair in all interviews I've seen. Maybe he will be an auburn homer for us.

right now he is the best talent on the sec network. think about that.

I agree with you Brannigan. He's a level headed guy on the radio so I'd imagine he'll be fine. I don't expect him to lean Auburn's way much if any but it would be nice if he did.

At least it's someone on SECN who doesn't have reason to hate us (I'm pretty sure anyways).

What better way to make Auburn look bad, then to have an ex coach pick against us throughout the year

I doubt Chizik will make us look bad or pick against us constantly like Holtz. If he's holding a grudge against AU or Malzahn that's news to me

I like it. Chizik made a lot of mistakes, but I think he will do a good job. Good for him.

I can't honestly see Chiz holding a grudge against Gustav. He's never said a word against Chiz of which I'm aware - hell, he doesn't even criticize Nutt publicly for the way he was treated at Arky.

I could imagine Chiz possibly being disappointed in the way things went down at AU, but I almost get the impression that he knew he had lost control in '12 and that he understood why he got the axe, even if he didn't fully agree.

Plus we compensated him pretty well for his time. A little too well, honestly.

Well we did fire him

But I don't think he has any hard feelings. Or at least I haven't seen him show any.

I think he will do pretty good. I've heard him a few times on XM doing stuff and he's coherent and pretty even handed.

Curious, does he still live in Auburn?

Chizik was good on the radio. Havent seen him on TV. But I can think of a few million reasons not to hate Auburn.

As of a couple of months ago when his daughter went to prom, he was still living in Auburn.

I'm hoping he will snap and punch Finebaum live on TV.

Dont know why Chiz would be any different on tv than he is on the radio, and on Sirius' College Show he is always as straight shooter when talking AU, and even leans more to the positive side all the time. I think he's a great analyst actually. Plus, indirectly he has to talk positive about AU, because these analysts always use their past experiences as a basis of their analysis and AU (basically 2010) was the only time he did everything worth a damn as a HC.
