Anyone else growing more & more disinterested with CFB (outside of tSEC??)

Growing up, UF football has always been #1 and I have always loved SEC football in general. But when I was younger, it seemed like I was always excited about watching Oklahoma, Texas, OSU, Michigan, U$C, UCLA, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Wisky, Washington, Cal, etc etc etc.....hell, even teams like BC & Syracuse I'd really look forward to.
Nowadays, I generally don't give 2 shits about anything outside of tSEC. Sure I'll still watch some of the big/prime-time match-ups, especially those with national significance, but UF & tSEC is really all I care about.
Part of it is because tSEC is by far the best conference the last decade+ and another part is I don't have the time to watch as many games as I used to when I was younger. Another part is frick everyone else, they are inferior yankees and/or hippies.
Anyone else feel this way the older you get?

Pretty much, I still might watch some of the older rivalries or games that have meaning for tSEC but other than that not really.

I enjoy SEC and Pac-12 games, not so much the other conferences outside of OU/Texas, Michigan/OSU, FSU/Clemson, etc.

If it's between two teams that I have no interests in I can watch a lot of college football if the game is good.

By the way, I agree. College football isn't as fun when your team sucks and you're watching everyone else have all the success and play in all the big match-ups.
As a Gator fan last year's experience was new to you. As a Gamecock fan I grew up with it and got used to it, thus it was the norm for me to have no other choice but to watch other teams to catch the big games.

Good point. I know I was deriving more joy from watching Michigan or SEC games in years past.

How dare y'all not watch SDSU games which air late at night and have no real implications towards the SEC.
But to be honest, as someone that has to keep up with three conferences, no. The totality of CFB is what makes it great. The rise of Boise, the great season of UCF, at least finding out and watching the upset games as they materialize. If you only watch your conference, you are missing out on a lot of good football.

The 2004 UF-UT game was on the SECN last night and it made me remember how envious I used to be that we were never a part of the big game. Sure we'd always get excited pre-season, loved to hear that maybe we'll even be a dark horse (never became anything), and maybe have a big match-up in week 2 with UGA because both would be 1-0 and we'd give them troubles sometimes.
Other than that late October and most of November where a disaster and I was just hoping we'd make it to bowl season.

The problem isn't the interest has waned, but other teams around the country have.
I mean, Michigan vs OSU used to be a huge deal, that was normally a top 10 match up, now? Meh they enjoy it, but there's no national interest.
OU vs. Texas has fallen into the same trap.
Same story with like Miami vs. FSU, etc.
Like last year FSU vs. Clemson was a big deal because they were both top 10.
When two programs from outside the SEC are actually good and actually both highly ranked and play each other, the interest is there.

I don't mind watching any of the P5 games. The SEC teams will have to face those teams in Bowl games, so it's a little relevant to keep up with them all. I really don't care about the other weak conferences for the most part unless an SEC team is playing one of their teams.

honestly, ive never given a shite about teams outside the sec. even when i was 8-9 years old. its always been the sec. other stuff just bored me.
like others have said, of course ill watch a top 5 usc/stanford, usc/oregon, ohiost/mich(when theyre good), fsu/miami. games like that, but other than that i just dont care

I watch college football whenever it's on tv. I am especially interested in when a ranked team plays an underdog team and the underdog gives them all they got and sometimes come away with the win (like Michigan vs Appalachian St)

If college football is on, I'm watching. I even like the games that are on during the week

It's all college football. What's not to like?

I'm old (44) but I've always been a college football junkie. I watch every game I can. I prefer SEC ball, but I will watch anything if there are no SEC games.

A little, but it's because I don't like how CFB has changed (expansion, $$$), so interest has waned.
That said, I'll still watch other games because i still love cfb
