LINKBret Bielema, Arkansas (10-20, 0-6): The most noteworthy figure here is the one gleaned by subtraction: Bielema was 10-14 against ranked teams in his previous job at Wisconsin, despite inheriting a mature, successful program.

Just thought I would leave this here. If Germans feel free to destroy me

Saban is 28-12 against Top 25 teams at Alabama. Not too shabby.

So the coaches at good programs have good records, coaches at mediocre/lower tier programs have bad records.

Muschamp is the fly in the ointment.

Read the article. Bert is the biggest outlier. He had a shitty record at an established good school

Yeah, but Fayetteville is like a mall filled with nothing but lane bryant and casual male stores

Maybe Saban's record is half of Stoops because he's been at Alabama half as long as Stoops at OU. Either poor wording or really digging for something.

What?

He's saying that Stoops' winning % is more impressive because he's .15 behind Saban despite being at his job for twice as long.

Coaches with winning records

Saban
Gus
Richt
Les
Kelly
Urban
Stoops
Spurrier
Shaw
Sumlin
Peterson
Jimbo

3 coaches are .500

Patterson
Strong
Mora

A lot of so called "great coaches" have poor records. Example Sarkisian 8-18 or Gary Pinkel 15-37

Arkansas >>>>>>>>> Wisconsin

bert will be able to do more here than he ever was able to do at wisky. also lets compare other head coaches in the SEC record vs top 25 teams before they came to the SEC, that would be fair
