It's no wonder people more familiar with these departments are upset and protesting. Unbelievable.

LINK

ETA: question mark at end of thread title.

ETA2: Removed the word "another" for the cop apologist babies whining about the implication, so maybe what written in the link can be discussed.

Title implies the current one in question is a coverup. Nothing like not being unbiased.

It appeared to be a drive-by shooting. Police said they were looking for four or five men.

It's a shame they're having to spend so much manpower on trying to prevent widescale looting. Otherwise, they may have more men and time to investigate things like this.

ahh.. I see now..

Still doesn't explain the lack of a police report or case number. They cared enough, and had enough time, to go to the hospital and confiscate the bullet, but not enough to write a report? What happened to the bullet without a case number to associate it with?

The word bolded implies a previous coverup.

There has been no such occurrence.

Assuming everything reported is accurate. That really hasn't been the case up there lately though, has it?

According to someone ready to sue.

Dunno. Seems that she would have granted the hospital and doctors permission to discuss, but I didn't see anything in the article that corroborated her story at all, as of yet.

eta- And again, your title implies the current fiasco is a coverup. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. There isn't nearly enough evidence to say either way. Nice smear though.

I guarantee you the "Riverfront Times" report is mostly complete and utter bullshait.

There's going to be an incident report.

Not only did they interview her on the scene, they followed up and recovered potentially key evidence at the hospital. Any thoughts on how they knew the bullet had been removed? Most likely because they'd asked the hospital to keep them updated.

So now she's grabbed the first ambulance chaser she could find (more likely he found her). He made a cursory call to a couple of LE agencies, and ran straight to the media with a tale of police coverup.

As hunter said, the LE agencies are quite occupied at the moment. They've got 99+ problems but answering a plaintiff attorney's questions ain't one of them. I guarantee you the hospital has a record of not only which agency but also which specific officer took possession of the evidence. That agency also has an I/O that is probably one of hundreds if not thousands from the rioting and every single one of those victims feels their case is the most important. Further, if they use paper, it may not even have been entered into any computer system yet.

Finally, she got shot in the head but took a selfie in the ambulance and is out of the hospital and again going to rallies. She wasn't hurt that badly (might not even be a felony) so the cold, hard truth is that her case isn't a top priority.

But yeah, clearly a police coverup.

Everything? Getting shot in the head alone is enough to have a police report written up, no? Especially if the cops believe it to be a drive-by. Yet, apparently there's no record of it at the local police stations. There's really no question this lady was shot.

Perhaps she did thinking they'd follow up with her with a police report or something. But a week later and they still haven't contacted her for an interview? Seems fishy.

No it doesn't. I posed it as a question. It seems to me based on the article there is something amiss in how it's been handled by the police, but I'll wait to make a final determination.

They're not busy with riots or anything and certainly not understaffed or anything.

According to someone who contacted a sue happy lawyer with the quickness.

There's a little thing going on that has resulted in a State of Emergency and the National Guard being needed for manpower. If you think it's fishy that manpower is being used elsewhere at the moment, then I've overestimated your common sense for far too long.

Yes, it does.

Obama covering up another murder?

What does that question imply?

And the write of the linked article that tried to track it down.

Sure, I get that. But the police came back to the hospital to retrieve the bullet and still couldn't leave a card with a case number or anything? I've had a case number for incidents involving police before they even leave the scene. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the records department hasn't had time to process, and perhaps the representative that came to retrieve the bullet forgot to leave a care or something. Just seems fishy to me.

I explained it in detail below the statement.

The entire story may as well have been written by the attorney who's up there looking for as much settlement money as he can find.

Not one single part of his story sounds odd at all given the circumstances of the moment, yet he's proclaiming as a big cover up. I promise you he shopped the story to many other outlets, yet the only one apparently willing to run with his theory is the self-proclaimed "St. Louis's alternative newsweekly", whose reporters probably rate at about the same level of concern as a plaintiff attorney with LE officials right now.
