Last season has got to be up there with all the damn road games in the beginning and then get back home and have to play 2 more tough teams then to close out the season with Mizzou and on the road at our rivals. LINK

Auburn is obviously our 1983 national championship team.

Generally considered the toughest schedule in the history of college football.

Played and defeated 5 consecutive top 20 opponents to close out the season. Still the only team in college football history to do so.

I wonder if LSU fans started schedule threads in 1988?

Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Oklahoma State
Bowling Green
South Carolina
Rice

They also played four BCS bowl teams in the 2009 regular season

Bama 1986 played:

Ohio State
Notre Dame
Penn State
Florida
Tennessee
LSU
Auburn
Miss. St. (really good team)
Washington

1977 Bama played:

at Nebraska
Georgia
at #1 USC
Tennessee
LSU
Miami
Auburn
Ohio State

1978 Bama played:

Nebraska
#11 Missouri
USC
Washington
Florida
Tennessee
Virginia Tech

Won the national title in '78 with that brutal schedule.

And Alabama is the only team to ever finish a season against #1 and #2, as well as 10 bowl teams. They also finished 14-0 in that 2009 season.

I will put our schedule the year before in 1987 up against it. 7 teams ranked in the top 11 of the AP poll.
