If UF fires Muschamp, do they pursue Mullen?

Last time UF was great Mullen was calling the plays for the Gators. Makes sense that they'd try and get somebody that they could tie into that 08 season and I don't think Charlie Strong would leave UT after a season

Nah he owns the state of Mississippi. FSU owns Florida. He is perfect for state.

If Gator fans really think OBC would leave SC at this point they're more delusional than I thought.

Mullen would be a good hire, IMO. He has an eye for talent and his teams have grit.

Florida fans don't "want" him back...this idea keeps getting thrown out there by fans of other teams.

Would we accept him back if it came to pass, damn right, but I see no Florida fan salivating over getting Spurrier back in Gator Country.

If Muschamp goes, I think UF throws a ton of money at Chad Morris. UF has always had their best years with an offensive innovator at the helm. Just a guess though.

Why though? Looking for something higher profile or just something with him?

Wouldn't they want someone to plug the hole in the sinking ship?

What Mullen has done at state is very impressive.

Florida's DNA is offense. Just like Bama's DNA is defense. I think when a program tries to go away from what has traditionally made them successful, things typically won't work out. There are always exceptions though.

I think UF is one of those jobs where you need to hire someone who doesn't require on the job training. They need to be able to come in, put in their system, and hit the ground running.

Muschamp will do fine once Crab Legs graduates/is arrested and Jimbo is shown to be a Chizik

You said this, and I immediately thought of Dubose And then you said this...
