Keep hearing AU "snuck up on people" last year

Guys on SEC network, including Tebow just said it and it seems to be the one thing all the talking heads keep using over and over.
Really?
Did a 10-1 5th or 6th ranked AU really sneak up on UGA?
Did bama not think an 11-1 #4 AU team was legit and the "Biggest IB ever" in AU was a game they let "sneak up" on them with essentially two weeks to prepare?
Did Mizzou not notice AU?
Did FSU with a month to prepare not take AU seriously and got "snuck up on"?
I don't get this. AU was not a very good team early in the season and surprised a few teams as they improved like Ole Miss and A&M.
Late in the season though, AU was a legit team much different than early and didn't sneak up on UGA, Bama, Mizzou, or FSU and AU still pretty much ran all over all of them (even though FSU won).
And it isn't like people didn't have film on AU by late in the year. And it isn't like it matters this year. AU's offense is likely to look a lot different this year. Our passing offense will at least triple and Gus will be adding lots of new stuff with an experienced qb anyway.
Guess AU will be "sneaking up on" a lot of teams this year as well. Talking heads on SEC network just called for 3-4 losses for AU.

I wouldn't say you snuck up on LSU. More like you were just outmatched by a superior team, coaching, and game plan.

i think the "sneaking up on people" part has alot to do with going winless in the SEC prior to last years Auburn miracle run.

I would say 3-9 to 12-2 was sneaking up. Not unlike 7-6 to 12-2 for Alabama in 2007 to 2008. Quit being a bitch.

Seems reasonable, @UGA and @Bama = losses ; LSU seeks to own Au, Both the MS schools think they should've won last year and those are away games. USCe will be another tough game ... Au's schedule doesn't do y'all any favors. 3-4 isn't just an out of the question prediction.
