BATON ROUGE – Asked about defensive tackle depth in light of the recent biceps injury to No. 1 defensive tackle Quentin Thomas of Breaux Bridge, Coach Les Miles delivered some startling good news Sunday afternoon at LSU’s Media Day.
“We think that Quentin Thomas,” Miles said and started again. “We’ll hopefully get him back here soon. So I think we’re good there.”
It was reported on Friday by multiple television stations and newspapers statewide, including this one, that Thomas was out for the 2014 season with the torn biceps injury that generally requires months of rehabilitation. Miles, though, only confirmed on Friday that Thomas had an injury. LSU’s sports information office confirmed initial reports Friday that Thomas was out for the season.
Miles was wrapping up his press conference when he brought up Thomas and did not elaborate on the third-year junior from Breaux Bridge High who is the Tigers’ most experienced defensive tackle.
“The injury is not as serious as first thought,” LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said after Media Day Sunday. “He has a chance to return this season.”
Asked if Thomas could be back in time for LSU’s season opener against Wisconsin in Houston on Aug. 30, Bonnette said he was not sure. “But there’s a chance,” he said.
Thomas played in 11 games last season and started the Outback Bowl win against Iowa. He made nine tackles with two pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

Doesn't shock me LSU affiliates are so worried about a WR "they didn't really even want".

You really should let this go. Nobody is worried. However, since you were the first to comment, judging by your post you seem to have LSU in your head.

Reading seems to be difficult for you to. Again, I said I threw the comment because YOU just had to comment about the bike issue. It seems whenever someone comes back at you, you get your arse on your shoulders and get all pissy.
