Could we score 70 a game this season?

Assuming that the qb play is at least at McElroy level, I think we could if we wanted too. We have elite talent at every skill position and coordinator that knows how to use it. I think Kiff faps when he thinks about how he could use Drake, Henry and Howard. Those three guys can be used in a multitude of ways that would confuse the most discipline defenses.

Is this a serious thread or are you trolling the LSU fans?

I mean...no.

Yes, we have a weak sauce schedule, and if you were to assume that the starters go the whole game and try to score on every single play, then the numbers could rack up against all the weak teams...but no.

I DO think we are capable of scoring 45-50 a game, but Saban won't do it because he's afraid to hurt someone's feelings. Though maybe with the new RELENTLESS motto he's changed his mind.

Seriously, no one is gonna stop all these different weapons if we have good play calling and can throw the ball consistently.

Well, LSU and Florida can. But the other 10 don't scare me, defensively. Except Ole Miss, but only sort of.

I want to see Coker play 2 possessions before I start predicting anything out of this offense.

Coker throwing deep to Cooper is something I want to see. When Coker gets in vs WVU just come out with say Henry, pound it down the field, then boom PA over the top.

That weak sauce schedule still has Auburn, Florida, LSU on it with Ole Miss and Miss St both looking to be very respectable this year. Even if TAMUs defense sucks arse again their offense still has a fun ton of weapons to still be nasty and a threat to outscore a team on a down week. Compare that schedule to a lot other conference teams and its coming out looking stronger.

I think if we kept our foot on the gas the whole game it would be easy, especially if our d-line lives up to expectations.

Im more worried about the intermediate throws into coverage. Deep ball can be one of the easier throws for a lot of QBs esp if they have a strong arm.

No. Anthony Grant is still our coach.

No, I agree with that. It isn't as weak as people make it out to be. But what I'm saying is this:

West Virginia
FAU
Southern Miss
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Tennessee
Western Carolina

More than half the schedule, and no reason Bama can't drop 45-52 on em if the QB is competent and Saban doesn't turn into the world's biggest pacifist in the fourth quarter.

Then you've got:

Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Auburn

While the past two years Ole Miss has stunted our ground game, the talent level on offense is a little bit better this year, not that it was hurting before. Those three defenses, while better than the first 7, don't particularly scare me. Bama SHOULD be able to score 35ish on em. Will they? No, and expecting as much might be a little crazy.

Florida
LSU

These two will have good defenses (though I think LSU's front 7 may not be up to their standard this year, sans Hunter) and could keep Bama under 20.

Definitely. We'll have to see what happens. August 30th may not even solve the QB competition. I have no problems with letting it continue through the next two games, or until a winner is decided before then.

Nice summary, but back on topic boys. We could have the most efficient offenses ever. With the help on D, we should take every team to pound town.

With all the speed at the skill positions, I think Alabama could run a ton of misdirection plays, catered to any position, and make the defense shite themselves.
