Do you think Auburn will pass Bama in head-to-head wins in your lifetime?

Auburn is currently only 7 wins away from tying up the series. That's very impressive with a team that claims 14 NCs.
Auburn hasn't held the series lead since 1964.
Auburn has +4 in the win column since Bear's last game.
Bama's longest win streak is 3 wins (1990-1992) during the time frame since Bear passed.
I think Auburn will pass Bama by 2040. I should still be alive.

I have no idea. What if I die tomorrow? I can't take a stand on this issue until I consult my insurance agent's actuarial tables.

I haven't seen you in forever. I don't think we congregate in the same threads anymore.

Shouldn't a team worry about a winning record against Vandy, before even thinking Bama?

At this pace, yes

I blame that on Mike Slive.

Nah. That will sort itself out in good time.

But what if it stays at Saban's pace? Lose one, win two, lose one and win another two.

Not in my lifetime. I think the better question is whether Auburn and Alabama will both have winning records against everyone else. The way football in the state is going, I would think so.

I doubt it.
Look at the type of players Bama recruited and is currently recruiting. More speed for the edges and a lot of hybrid type tweeners at DB/LB and LB/DE.
The defenses will adjust, and the effectiveness of Gus's offense will fade.
I give it less than a decade.

Possible, that's why it's a true rivalry, unlike LSU.
