No flames, but what is the sudden confidence with Ivey for AU? Is it just Chandler Cox? CB still says 88 percent UF

He said on Tuesday that Auburn and Florida were even, and that he wasn't ready to make a decision. It's obvious he really likes both schools, and if he hadn't grown up a fan of the gators, he would possibly already be committed to AU. Cox is pretty obviously a close friend to Ivey, and an important commit for us in his own right. It's going to be really interesting to see how it plays out. A lot of Auburn folks think it will be heavily dependent on how the two schools play this coming season.

I always find it interesting that fans really think W-L records dictate a recruits decision to attend that college. Sure, it helps to know that the coach would still be there the next year and it helps to have a more exciting atmosphere during games; but to pretend as if it is the ultimate deciding factor, well that is just the quintessential SEC way of thinking. A kid attends a university based on MUCH more than Wins and Losses; and if that is his sole motivation, it most definitely shouldn't be.

I'm with you on the win/loss thing. Rashaan Evans clearly didn't give a shite about that. Neither did montravius Adams 2 years ago. I think every kid is different. All have different priority lists. A lot if kids that sign with Alabama just wanna play for Alabama period. Some wanna just play for saban and smart. Some want to play because of the dynasty thing. Some want to play for alabama for the combinations of thing such as stability and other things. Probably the most important thing to heavily recruited and talented kids is the NFL prep. If you have a track record for getting kids in the NFL every year and multiple 1st rounders, those kids are like sign me up. They want millions and championships. That's why Alabama has the number 1 class every year.

Ivey or CeCe for UF.

Also, keep a eye on Daylon Mack and UF.

I agree with you to an extent. But when a recruit is torn between two schools, and one said school could have a complete overhaul of the coaching staff due to the W/L record, you are crazy and naive if you don't think that factors into the equation.

I think the success or failure of Florida this year is going to have an astronomical impact on the way recruiting plays out.

I honestly think with a 2012 like season that they land at least 3/4 of:

Campbell
Cowart
Jefferson
Ivey

Another dumpster fire and Campbell goes to lsu, Jefferson to bama, and Ivey to AU.

So for the first time in history, let Alabama, Auburn, and LSU fans unite together in hopes that Muschamp fails miserably this year.

Nobody thinks it dictates it. It does, however, have an impact.

Now if the difference is 10 wins or 9 wins, not really. However, if the difference is florida last year vs auburn last year, yes it has an impact.

To say otherwise is just silly.
