we could have brought you back several from Sky Valley, Jawga last Thanksgiving. I walked outside our cabin to find myself face to face with them every night we were there.

I sent an email to Bjork so we'll see if that gets the ball rolling

ETA: I've never seen a bear in MS other than on the news a couple of years ago

My grandfather swore up and down until the day he died that he saw one on our hunting land in the delta.

Very possibly did. Very believable people have spoke of them being sighted in Bovina, Edwards, port Gibson, east of Vicksburg on Big Black River

I actually got selected this year in the 2014 Gator Hunt. We will be hunting the waterways in the West Central zone. We will mostly be around Eagle Lake/Chotard Lake but may also venture over to Big Black. If we see a black bear we will catch him for you.

There are several bears in MS. Especially along the MS river. My friend has a deer camp in Rodney, MS (near Alcorn State) and gets them on his deer camera all the time.

Locking up a black bear on campus?

PETA and the southern poverty law center would bust their testicles

Southwest Community College had one on their campus but it died due to lack of proper care. I think someone forgot to water and feed it during Christmas break one year.

His name was Charlie and he was kept in a 12x15 cage with a concrete bottom. It was pretty depressing.

According to Bjork via email, there are no plans for a live bear on campus.

Damn bro. Would have been awesome. I'll tweet Stricklin and see if he can talk him into it.
