I assure you whenever espn rankings come out (which don't mean jack shite, btw) Clemson will be ranked just to drum up interest for the season opener they are airing.

Whoever started the slideshow format for sports rankings of any kind should be tied down and punched in the face repeatedly.

I kind of don't blame them. They are coming off a BCS game victory over Ohio State after a solid season and they get shut out of the Top 25 to start the next season?
That's actually pretty ridiculous, imo.

Let's look at who will be assigned the job of scoring the points for starters…………Georgia has senior QB that‘s been in the same system for 4 years. We have the best RB in the country. One of the best kickers in the country. And a shite-load of experienced receivers returning from injury that Mason didn’t have the luxury of utilizing in his three games late last year.
And then there‘s Clemson………..who will start a brand new QB, brand new wide-receivers, new tailbacks, new kicker, etc.
Basically, every single player that was spoken about on Offense to justify Clemson’s top 10 ranking last year is now gone. So, why should they still factor into Clemson’s ranking this year?
Pre-season rankings are bullshite anyway, but if you're gonna do them, you have to make on-field experience a huge factor. I really don't get why Clemson not being ranked is so offensive to some of you. I think the best I've seen them ranked anywhere is #18 maybe.

I'm not worried about the mythical, nonexistent crowd noise so much as I'm worried about Vic Beasley being held to only 2 sacks on the day. I think the no-calls on holding will be a bigger detriment to our success than the soft Georgia faithful's crowd noise.
I expect us to let off the throttle a bit by the time UGA fans start dumping out the exits late in the 3rd quarter. That soft team and their soft fanbase will know soon enough what the Clemson Tigers are all about.
