If Panhandle Slim was on this board, he's be so angry he'd be shitting himself.

Is he even alive anymore? I don't post on TA as much as I used to, but I haven't run across him in a hot minute

Yeah. If I were an Aggie I'd be tired of seeing Missouri too. . . #WeRunThisRivalry

All kidding aside, from our perspective the move to the SEC has been a 10.

Had we stayed in the XII or accepted a junior membership in the B1G, we would have (likely) always been relegated to afterthought status. And while that possibility exists in the SEC too, there's also the possibility of becoming something more and that's exciting as hell.

Big Boy athletics and future exposure on an unprecedented level. What's not to love?

So would his former secretary and new wife.

As for the move to the SEC, it is a 10.

I abstain from voting on Mizzou. They were an afterthought....the best option to even up the numbers in the SEC.

I guess you never came to Columbia, otherwise you would have seen that Aggies never really came to Mizzou either. Not that nobody came, but you guys never brought as many people as some of the SEC schools have already.

After quickly scanning the replies it is obvious the move has been overwhelmingly popular with A&M and Mizzou fans.

No Arky, Msu and OM posters responded to this thread.

I think maybe these fanbases feel threatened by how much success both A&M and Mizzou have had in the short period of time they have been in the conference.

This kind of proves his point.

Mizzou and TAMU simply do not move the needle for each other relative to our other conference matchups. We never had a rivalry of any sort in the big12, and our only SEC ties are joining the same year and Dr. R. Bowen Loftin.

The only people who really cared whether the two schools continued to play each other are Tigers living in TX or Aggies living in MO (such as myself; and yes I attended last season's game in CoMo).

Probably because it's like the 20th thread on the same topic and your subject specifies a&m/Mizzou fans. I'm fine with both of them- kinda looking forward to the annual Mizzou thing.

My point was only to say that the Aggies didn't travel either so don't hold it against us when both schools were guilty.
