I found that the more I worked out the more weight I would gain ,and the less I worked out the more I would lose. So I just stopped working out. MIND BLOWN

Cycling, if you can avoid getting run over. I lost 40 lb in 4 months when I first started and was (guessing) closer to your age. Also cut out almost all fat. Skim milk, no beef, etc. That's frowned on these days, but it worked for me.

There is the whole getting killed thing to worry about, but if you have a nice park or other low-traffic area to ride in, I recommend it.

Not necessarily. Just be picky about which fats you choose.

Good:
monounsaturated fats
polyunsaturated fats

Bad:
trans fats
saturated fats

I don't disagree, but that's way more information than most people can absorb. For ADD guys like me, cutting out all fat worked pretty well.

Off topic but, she knows her video games

The thing I hate most about diets or sudden changes is, that transition period where your body is telling the fats and impurities to go frick themselves and you're just in agony for about a week

Since you're an avid poster, and arm size is all that matters south of interstate 10 - I give you the TIGERDROPPINGS WORKOUT PROGRAM

there's no way in hell I could do that right now but I may silently participate for a day or so to confirm my decision to not publically join.

Fat is good and important for optimal health. It's a marketing hoax that it's bad for you.

I'd strongly suggest checking out P90x3 along with following their meal planner on beachbody.com.

I realized almost a year ago that I am about to enter the real world and should probably look to drop the weight I've put on since starting college. I've lost like 20-30 pounds since then and have gotten back to around where I was in high school playing basketball.

The workouts are great. They are only 30 minutes long, but you still get a ton out of them. I'm currently nearly halfway through my second run through of it and some of them still nearly kill me.

The meal planner starts with entering things like what you weigh right now and what you want to do like lose weight, gain mass, or get leaner. It will build a shopping list for you and plan out all of your meals for the week.

I might check this out.

In simplest terms, you can workout/exercise all you want, but without the right eating habits, you will just be hiding, or "over insulating" any muscle tone you may have.
As far as training, the most effective approach is to incorporate high rep weight training with high intensity (interval) cardio. Honestly, running is overrated.
For dieting, the easiest thing is to cut out the sugar.
You can build from here, but if you started with this you would see a significant difference within a week or two.
